McAuliffe Structural Detailing, Inc. is a family owned and operated detailing company in Ontario, Canada offering both structural and miscellaneous steel detailing services to customers across North America.

We have been detailing structural steel since 2000, completing hundreds of projects ranging from 1 ton to over 4500 tons. We work with our clients on commercial, industrial, institutional and residential projects, approaching each one with professionalism and precision in everything we do.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in 2000 by Tim McAuliffe, who first operated from a home office with a drafting board, triangle, compass and pencil. MCS continues to be a family owned and operated business with an ambitious and earnest team.

At its inception, MCS established itself with five major US clients who recognized MCS for their reputation and high degree of quality, service and experience. Tim McAuliffe brought over 30 years of dedicated experience and leadership to the company, assembling an adept team with detailing and architectural backgrounds, as well as valuable trade experience. Over the years MCS has adapted to the ever-changing technology advancements, integrating AutoCAD, SDS/2 and Tekla to increase efficiency, as well as streamlining communication with clients.

Honouring Jody McAuliffe 

Jody, Tim’s late wife, was instrumental in growing the company and ensuring its smooth operation. Hardworking and extremely organized, Jody’s contribution cannot be overlooked. Jody passed away in 2020 and we work hard to uphold the high standards of service that she helped shape.
